Our Mission

Our Mission is to assists the less fortunate achieve educational goals,youth empowerment,research, improve and strengthen health systems,advocacy, leadership, capacity building,peace reconciliation and to eradicate tribalism in the society.

Our Primary Goals

  • Improve access to education in schools, research and youth empowerment
  • Gender awareness, social welfare support and food and Nutrition initiatives
  • Eradication of diseases and improve community access to primary and emergency health care and health systems improvement
  • Provide clean water and sanitation and assist with immediate community needs
  • Provide financial support through scholarships to needy children
TT Foundation
The Dr Taaitta Toweett Foundation was incorporated in honor of Dr Toweett who was Kenya's first pioneer in developing quality education, a great statesmen and Politician who represented Bureti Constituency in Kericho District from 1966-1979. Dr Toweett was famous for his intellectual, cognitive thinking and research skills. He was the first Minister to obtain a PhD in Linguistics through self studying. 


The organization is formed with the following as the main objectives:
  • Poverty eradication through promotion of lifestyles activities, advocacy  and creation of jobs 
  • Empower women and gender initiatives through capacity building, awareness and resource mobilization 
  • Improve access to health facilities, sanitation and clean water, and reduction of HIV/AIDS prevalence 
  • Support disadvantaged children and the physically and mentally challenged through support for basic needs>
  • Encourage greater coordination of humanitarian assistance and peace efforts in areas hit by conflicts 
  • Counseling post trauma victims and others on the grass root level, and establish  support homes for the elderly in the community 
  • Enhance conflict sensitive approaches to development and peaceful coexistence 
  • Build Dr Taaitta Toweett Memorial Library and museum and Support research, documentation and resource sharing and enhance Libraries in schools 
  • Development of collaboration and networking efforts with grassroots, national and international communities, groups and institutions. 
  • To educate communities through Toweett Initiative platform for Change on changing laws, advocacy, stewardship, good governance and accountability in the society.

Mashujaa Day Soccer Tournament 2012

Taaitta Foundation is proud to support youth programs in Kenya. We have therefore initiated the 2012 Mashujaa Remembrance day soccer tournament to pay honor and gratitude for those who were instrumental for our struggle and subsequent Independence from British rule in 1963.
The foundation will honor the winning tournament team with Mashujaa day trophy in addition to soccer uniforms and shoes. Let us remember our heroes on this month of October 2012 through mentorship and inspiration to our talented youths. Please help us support our youth programs
