According to the CIA fact book (2009) the following health problems affected Kenya in high risk status
- Food or waterborne diseases: bacterial and protozoal diarrhea, hepatitis A, and typhoid fever
- Vector borne disease: malaria and Rift Valley fever
- Water contact disease: schistosomiasis
- Animal contact disease: rabies (2009)
- HIV and other diseases
Kenya also experiencing lack access to:
- Clean water and sanitation in the rural area
- Proper treatment for children under 5 years reported by WHO high deaths due to Diarrhea, measles, malaria, pneumonia and other congenital abnormalities
- Proper District hospitals to diagnose the merging diseases rapidly
- Poor hospital quality control and efficiency monitoring and evaluation system
- Poor of planning, coordination to reduce the mortality and morbidity rates
Toweett Foundation is formulating the following research policy as part of the thesis in PhD program to write clear policy and structural elaborate details that can be used to improve health policy and implementation process in the future.

- Improve health care quality in Kenya health system
- Development and research initiatives and programs of action
- Develop programs to evaluate and control spread of vector-borne diseases
- Capacity building and sustainable health care resources.
- Work with local NGO and government foster enhanced delivery of care
- Improve maternal health and reduce child mortality and morbidity rates
- Partnership with local hospitals and health centers in disease management
- Reduce hospital mortality by incorporating Rapid Response Systems (RRS)
- Implement programs that deliver safe optimal care through effective team work and communication
- Innovation, accessibility and efficiency in health systems
